Reset. Re-center. Refocus.

You are the star of your own life but somehow you left “YOU” off of your “to do” list.

While we can’t control WHAT happens, how we FEEL is entirely up to us. When you reset, re-center and refocus, you recognize how important it is that you are in the driver’s seat of your life. This becomes the difference between letting it happen and making it happen.

You get one body and one mind and they’ve both got to last you for a lifetime. Isn’t it time you re-prioritized and put YOU at the top of your “to do” list? Reset goals. Re-center your well-being. Refocus priorities. Why not work with a coach?

With a body/mind/spirit approach, we take your dreams and goals, making the invisible, visible.

FAQs

How does coaching work?

A coach is your support system and helps you use your talents to best explore the present and design the future you. With a focus on positive psychology, your coach helps you to achieve your goals and live your best life.

I know what a sports coach is but what other types of coaches are there?

Executive Coaching
Senior level management to improve strategic decision-making and leadership.

Business Coaching
Working with managers inside a company to help them build stronger teams and advance their managerial skillset.

Team Coaching
Corporate teams. Using Character Strengths to help teams recognize one another assets and learn to work together at a higher level, achieving financial goals through cohesion and mutual respect.

Health Coaching

Whether a client wants to lose weight, change their lifestyle habits, introduce fitness goals and habits, a Health Coach works with individuals and groups to achieve results, bringing the body back into a healthy balance. Many times a Health Coach receives direction from a person’s physician.

Life Coaching
We are multi-faced individuals and just as the pillars of wellness work together, a Life Coach helps clients advance their personal and professional goals. A life coach is the only professional trained to deal with all aspects of a client’s life.

Career Coaching
For clients who want to find a job, change careers, or get back into the job market.

How does coaching differ from therapy?

Coaching focuses on the present and future, moving a client forward at their individual pace, stepping towards their dreams and goals. A coach may work with a client who has a good life but still wants to be a better version of themselves, focusing on what’s “right” versus what is perceived to be “wrong”.

Therapy is used to remedy a client’s problems that stem from their past. The client uses therapy because they feel emotionally dissatisfied with life and want relief from psychological and/or physical symptoms.

Where did this idea of coaching begin?

We all have flashbacks to our sports coaches in high school and perhaps college. Their express purpose was to win, building teams and helping their athletes train and improve.

Today all top athletes like Serena Williams and Connor McGregor not only have a fitness/sports coach but with the understanding of the role MINDSET plays in the “game'“ they have enlisted a personal coach. Check out Timothy Gallwey’s book, ‘The Inner game of Tennis.’ and you can see how sports coaching grew.

I keep hearing about coaching, it’s everywhere, why?

Because in business it is one of the most cost effective methods for individuals and management to increase their productivity. A company that invests in the mindset of its people avoids costly financial impact of recruitment and retraining.

A coach helps people to do more, dream bigger, create and set new life goals that can be focused on mindset, emotion, financial and spiritual. A coach focuses entirely on YOU and YOUR priorities.

Why can’t I just coach myself?

A coach holds you accountable and provides support and structure so you achieve your goals. A coach helps you recognize when you are making “excuses” and reflects your sometimes self-defeating language back to you so that you understand where you are holding yourself back.

So while it is possible to have the self-regulation to coach yourself, it generally takes you longer to achieve your goals.

Who needs a coach?

Anyone who has dreams and aspirations can utilize the skillset that a coach brings to a relationship. We all can use help connecting the dots in the complexity of the matrix we call “our life”.

The coach-client relationship is client centered and collaborative. Together you get organized, formulate plans and strategize the best approach to YOUR life.

Courage starts with showing up & letting ourselves be seen.

Partnered with The Institute for Functional Medicine, Functional Medicine Health Coaching is individualized and client-centered, with a science-based approach to health that looks beyond your symptoms to identify why illness occurs and address those root causes and restore your health.

While conventional medicine focuses on using medication to reduce symptoms, a Functional Medicine Coach empowers clients to resolve the complex underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness through diet and lifestyle change.

How long is a coaching session?

Your first session will last approximately 30 minutes. During this time you will explore whether or not you are experiencing synergy with your coach. One you have made the commitment to work with a coach, your individual sessions are generally one hour in length but can change based upon the client’s need.

The frequency is decided by the client, whether you meet once a week, bi-monthly or “as needed”. In between sessions, a client is encouraged to stay in touch via email or text as you continue working on your goals as decided upon in each session.

Is coaching expensive?

Coaching is an investment in YOU. Time is the most valuable commodity and the only one we can never get back so why not invest time in yourself?

Knowledge and intellectual understanding are not enough. Change means taking action towards your goals.
